New weird noise/vibration
I just had my rear brakes replaced; went with the same set-up as the front: Tri-NET drilled/slotted rotors with Hawk Ceramic pads.
I'm now noticing a loud noise in the right rear; sort of a repeating thump; occuring only at low speeds (12-14 mph). Initially, I thought I had a flat tire as it was that type of sound. Or, I thought the lugs hadn't been torqued properly. I limped back to the shop, where they could find nothing (immediately) wrong. The brakes function fine and the vehicle appears to handle the same (I think), but for this horrible noise/shimmy at low speeds.
Any thoughts?

Follow up: I've been reading this forum for several hours and doing some alternative research. It seems that my problem may be the drive shaft and that it was simply a coincidence that it failed at the same time my rear brake job was done.
I'm now considering my options: new ($700) vs. rebuilt through vertexauto.com ($389).
Has anyone used the rebuilt shaft from vertex? Their claim (obviously) is that the rebuilt part is better than the original.

This is probably something you checked already, but did you make sure the wheels were fastened tightly after the break change? If the wheel is a bit loose it will make a repeating "thump" noise at certain speeds. Has happened to me when I forgot to tighten one wheel after changing tires once.
EDIT: Also, a while ago I had been doing some off road driving, and the inside of my wheels had a thick layer of dried mud on them. A "mudcake" fell off on one of the wheels, creating a nasty imbalance and a very noisy sound. Could be something like that too (though usually you don't notice imbalance that much until 60mph+)

I didn't. Larry did. Ask PCNA Legal.

But, they ARE expensive critters!

Well...I went with the rebuilt shaft. My hope is that their claims are true. It was a few hundred bucks cheaper and it's warrantied. (fingers crossed)

We just installed a rebuilt shaft in a friends 04 CS from a place in Colorado and all seems well. The job was not hard but you are better off with two people. Smooth rolling now.
