2011 Cayenne Wiper Problem

On my first road trip with heavy rain I've noticed the wipers are skipping and squeaking. The wipers look as though they're having a panic attack. :-)
Anyone else have this problem? The wipers on my 07 Subaru with 54,000 miles are smooth and efficient. Yet these Porsche wipers are very annoying. I'm hoping this is a problem with my vehicle and that this is not a normal thing for 2011 Cayenne's.

Could it be that your dealer applied a windshield coating similar to AquaPel?
These coatings (similar to Rain-X but longer-lasting) have a tendency to make the wipers dance all over the place while they're wiping.

Earlier Cayennes were victim to a similar problem, often described as "the sound of an elephant dragging its *** across your windshield"....makes for an easy Search I must admit. and there were a couple of TSBs.
Basically the TSB was to grab the wiper arm and bend it to "adjust the angle of attack".....Really.
Not sure if the new Cayenne is any different, haven't followed the TSB's on the newest P!g.

i have an "11 Turbo with the wiper problem too. i bought a demo w/ 5k on it so i don't know when the problem started. i'll replace the blades and see how long that works. ps, the blades on the '11's are a different part number from earlier ones.

The chatter has always been a problem on my 2005 Cayenne.
A few Cayenne and Touareg posts spoke of dealers bending the wiper arms.
I noticed that in the middle of the contoured end piece on the wiper arm there were flat spots for a Crescent wrench to grab and twist the arm. The engineers knew there would be need for adjustment, but it's too bad the word didn't get to many of the service people.
The best way to fix this is to run wipers to half-way point and shut off the ignition. Then remove the blades and it is easy to see if the mounting pin is parallel to the glass. Use the Crescent wrench to adjust until pin is parallel.
Now my year and a half old blades work much better than when the car was new.

Just an FYI, I drove 800 miles from Oregon to So Ca a couple of weeks ago. The entire way in the rain. The wipers worked very well, but then they were new.
