What kind of discounts are people seeing on an ordered to spec 2011 Cayenne S.
Assume a sticker of $86.
I got about 15% off when I ordered my 2006. Can I expect the same now?

Does anyone have the invoice pricing info on the 2011's? This is usually posted on Edmunds (and shown on a base price and option-by-option basis), but it's not up yet.

You can build on website. To get a close MSRP. I think you will have to be a super long term customer to get or 7%. I could be wrong.

I checked my old purchase order. I was mistaken. I actually got about 11 percent off, not 15%. Dealer invoice was 63. Sticker was 73 (mark- up was about 15% to get sticker to 73) and I paid 65. Dealer sold to me for $2k above invoice.
If dealer willing to do the same or better deal, and assuming I get a fair number on a trade on my '06 (KBB SAYS $20k), I'm inclined to pull the trigger.

Well since there is about a little over 10% from Invoice to MSRP i dont think you'll be looking at 15% off. I have pre sold a fair number of 2011's with nowhere near the kinds of discounts being talked about here.

that is totally understandable Trader, I would expect something from my dealer, since I am a repeat customer. He's hinting around 4-5% which I think is great! Problem is, I can't wait to drive one!

Invoice price is a tricky issue. Some dealers include cost of advertising etc. Prior generation Cayennes were market upabout 14%. I've heard these will be market up 10%, in which case the 11% discount I got last time ain't happening, I suspect. I guess we'll see....

checkout the truecar.com website for invoice pricing. It seems very reliable. I checked it out before I bought my last 911. The '11 isn't on there yet. I think it tracks sales prices reported nationally. Excellent site!

Invoice is not a tricky issue and I am happy to show the actual invoice we get from PCNA to any client. There is no such thing as cost of advertising on the invoice.

but invoice price to the dealer is not the only source of profit for the dealership.....it's a bit more involved than that. Not that i'm any kind of expert, but invoice is just one of many dimensions.

The other part of the equation with Porsche is trunk money.... for the first time since 1990/1 and for only the second time in the history of the company in 2009 there was trunk money from Porsche. Also in 2010 there is trunk money on a 2010 Cayenne and a small amount on mid engine cars and the money is only available in the lease scenario not the buy. The new CEO has said in several published interviews that Porsche will not be doing this again. Companies like BMW and MB always have huge amounts of trunk money and play all kind of games. All of what I have posted is public knowledge and available on sites like Edmunds.

I have a sort of loose and informal standing offer w/my dealer to purchase any P car (but not GT2/3's etc) for $2,000 above invoice. I'm wondering how that plays out this time with the new Cayenne. If mark upis about 15% like it's been historically on Cayenne, it works. If mark up is really only 10%, then I'm not sure it's such a great deal.
Sounds like you are in the biz...what discount are you offering on the 2011?

markup is only about 10% on Cayenne and the Invoice from PCNA does not and never does show any other mark up there simply is non.
What car do you want to buy at invoice plus 2k? Unless its a 2011 I could probably do it
