After reading the DIY brake job I decided to do rotors and pads. The first wheel is going smooth until I attempt to put the caliper back on the control arm. I soon realized that the threads are cross threaded. Has anyone had good success tapping threads? I already special ordered the correct tap tool. Any suggestions? The bolts look good.

I have retapped a number of things, i am no expert but its not difficult. However; im not certain that its as strong as it was originally after you tap it out and id be a little worried about that with brake components. Maybe a machine shop could do a really perfect job and i doubt it would cost that much.
