It's On It's Way

Seems like only yesterday you were a proud new owner....oh, how quickly things can change.
Still wondering when you're going to let everyone know what your replacement vehicle is...

I've been driving a G-Class since 1984, and still do - a 2000 G500; and it's my off-road toy.
I have a 2010 Q7 TDI on order, and it should be delivered the first week of June. It will be my daily driver until MB brings in a G350CDI - which is, off the record, under discussion at MBUSA corporate even as we speak.
Since I'll no longer be driving a P-car, I doubt if I'll have much further to contribute here. Happy Trails to ya'll.

Ein bissel. (Wiener Deutsch for "A little bit.")
I had high hopes for the car (first P-car), but just could not find a comfortable long drive sitting position.

I would not judge Porsche ownership on having been the victim of a P!g attack.
I am quite certain that if you owned a proper Porsche your attitude would change.
Besides, you don't have to own a Cayenne to contribute here...there are a few former owner/survivors who still contribute here....the door is always open.
Q7 TDI....nice choice.

The Q7 is very nice indeed. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. It's basically the stretch version of the Cayenne with an Audi twist. My wife is on her second Audi and absolutely loves them. Her first was an A6 4.2 and then upgraded to the S6 with the 5.2 V-10. We've had a Q7 as a loaner a few times and always liked them. Can't wait to see what the next model has in store after seeing the new interior on the Cayenne. Best of luck with your new truck.

UGH
Audi Q7 Mirrors are the biggest most annoying design I have ever driven.
You cannot see an important part of the road.
Spent quite a bit of seat time and never got over the hate.
I am a die hard audi guy but no way would I own the Q7.
Best of luck with your decision.

I don't know if it's the same for LHD cars, but in the RHD, IMHO the footrest is too far away due to the park brake.
Apart from that, the car's pretty close to perfect.

nagging question for Lewis (LTC)
Not trying to stir the pot... but just how exactly did you become or why do remain the Mod for the Cayenne forum?

B. I was abducted by aliens and upon my return, I was made a Moderator.
There were of course a few side effects, but I don't really like to talk about them...
