Default Which Options Make a Cayenne S a Transsyberian?

Hi all,

Which specific options differentiate a Cayenne S from a Transsyberian? As I understand it, the Transsyberian is an S, but with a GTS engine. The rest, I'm not so sure about - looks to be largely cosmetic.

I got T-boned on Tuesday (totaled) in a blizzard up here in the Sierra and need an SUV pronto. I'm jonesin' for a Transsyberian but have an "S" budget. Short of replacing the engine, I was thinking of starting with an "S" and tacking on options as the budget permits. This way, I can get the off-road (read "deep snow") extreme performance I need without spending $90k. [Confidentially, I also dig the stickers and fog lights, but we'll pretend I didn't say that.] To that end, I need to understand which options to look for in an S and to budget for in upgrades. Is this strategy logical or will I end up spending more money than if I simply bit the bullet and bought a true Transsyberian?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

My 2010 Transsyberia which is optioned for maximum Off-Road capability is for sale at a very good price. It has 7600 miles on the clock. Contact me if interested. See here for a link to one of my ads:

That being said, I have a PDF of the PCNA Internal Briefing Papers regarding the Transsyberia. It spells out in detail the differences and prices between the S, Transsyberia and GTS. The whole thing is too large to post here. Drop me an email, and I can send it to you as an email attachment.
