Default Rockin a new look on the tailgate

So after a few weeks being debadged, I thought I'd try out the Panamera Porsche letters, part#970 559 235 01. Ordered from Sunset Porsche.

The letters come in a curved layout, so you have to reposition all the letters. That was sorta a pain in the a$$ and took some time. Make a spacer out of thin cardboard to evenly space the letters apart from each other.

Once aligned, I used blue masking tape on top of the letters to keep them together as I positioned them on the tailgate.

Measured left to right, top to bottom several times (at least 10x)...then removed the paper backing and applied the letters.

Here's out it turned out.

I'ts EXACTLY what I've been wanting to do. matter of fact I started a thread several days ago discussing this very thing. Was it incredibly difficult to do?

That does look good.

I wonder if the new Cayenne lettering will be easier to work with...

Just take your time aligning the letters and measuring several times before applying...If I can do it you can too!

They didn't have the new Cayenne badge when I was ordering so that's why I went with the Panamera one...if the letters where already straight and spaced out, that would make it A LOT easier.

I think the letters were less than $30

Normally not a fan of people's custom badging projects, but this one looks factory and classy. Nice job.

Do the letters come in any other "colors" than shiny Chrome? How about the same dull silver that my Cayenne S is?

Great job though!

Looks good.
I see you have Titanium edition, have you thought about painting those letters in titanium color? Well might be too late to do it now.

I thought about it, but the chrome letters match my polished exhaust tips and upper bumper insert pretty well.

Would love to see someone try to paint the letters...if it looks good, I could always remove these and put a new set on

Contact Eric at Bumperplugs (RL Sponsor and great guy). He can paint the emblems any color you want.
