Has anyone used the data from Galves? How accurate is the data when determining the trade in value of a vehicle?

Can anyone provide any advice on negotiating?

I have and I got my 2005 S for under 20k in February 2010.

Basically use the power of bulk mailing to dealers. I said this is my budget, are you willing to work with me. Out of the 10 or so cars I narrowed down I got 2 responses in my range. With all the cash I saved, that was my cushion for my own personal 4-5k extended warranty everyone says get, spent about 2k of it right away fixing the all the small things and one big thing. We will see how my gamble pays off later...
