Looks like an old stock photo. It says 4.5L on the part that covers the throttle body. I think the 2011 is larger than 4.5l.

Yeah thats definitely a first gen cayenne turbo engine. That's a pretty lame slip up on their part.

I was just thinking... "if these knuckle heads are still putting these plastic pipes in this new model and motors, they need to have their knee caps busted" (coming from someone who had to replace pipes in a CS) I also wonder if they addressed one of the OTHER common problems, coils. I would imagine they are using the -07 coil packs that are the newest part (so far) I guess only time will tell if the -07's are better and last longer than -05,-03,-02,01, hmmmm

Knowing the fact Porsche didn't implement the new aluminum coolant pipes on 06 production models from the factory, I have a feeling that Porsche will keep using the cheapest parts as possible to save them few hundred dollars per car.
Just remember it's their retirement plan to intentionally leave few parts under the time bomb

Come on now...there's no doubt they will continue to use plastic. The plastic part is significantly less expensive than using aluminum tubes. I'm sure they have a risk analysis that shows the % likelihood of failure times the ave replacement cost and that is still a lot less than using all aluminum from the factory.

These people aren't dumb...and they know we'll still buy it because it says PORSCHE (P!g) on it...well, actually there's probably a personalized one that says 'Bruce' on it but I regress.
