M)D YR 2011 ORDERING INFO
I spoke to my dealer today. Here's what's up.
Dealer reps doing factory tour and test driving on the new Cayenne in Germany in May. Launch cars will arrive by mid-July, and possibly as early as late June.
Ordering info, including spec books and pricing info will come in April or very early May. My dealer is taking $1000 deposit to hold spots in their allocation, but only for launch cars...not custom sped'd. Pricing wll be pretty flat compared to current model prices.

I am, I would really like to see one in the flesh before I make a commitment. I have owned several 911's in the past and currently have owned a 997 for three years now and while I love the car it really doesn't fit my needs or lifestyle.

I am considering the Turbo.. However per my other postings, I am seriously irked by the abs plastic trim on the ENTIRE perimeter of the vehicle.
Today I saw a Q7, Q5 and Buick Enclave. The only vehicle with black plastic all around was the Enclave.

The turbo with the enlarged rims would probably be my only choice as well. Unfortunately, the new pepper looks somewhat more....shall we say feminine?
Rumor has it that Leipzig production of the older Cayennes has already ceased this month.

I always like the look of the original Cayenne over any generation.
I also like the look of Carrera 964/993 over 996/997, I guess I like old designs over the new design personally....

Hmm. Rome, what do you mean by " Pricing will be pretty flat compared to current model prices." I am interested in the new 2011 Cayenne S, but was wondering what the discount from MRSP will be, or amount over invoice. Any thoughts?

The new cayenne is VERY nice. The interior is 100% better. I loved the power adjustable length of the bottom cushion of the seats.
The interior is very Panamera-ish.
It actually looks better. More sleek looking and more in line with the boxster/911 nose. The hood also looks good.
It will kill re-sale value of the current Cayennes.
