De-badging a Cayenne
The badge on my new-to-me Cayenne was crooked, so I thought I'd just remove it.
My nephew wanted to learn how to do it, so I thought we'd make a how to video too.
He also wanted to learn how to make the videos...so perfect training exercise.

I like the clean look of the Cayenne (not being snobbish) but especially when one owns a 6 cylinder model as I don't really like the "different color" badge - silver pops - but if your gonna have black (unless its against white or silver) just take it off.
I too use fishing line and use a bit less abrasive polish then clay bar as I'm kinda weird like that.

hmmm...good tip on the fishing line.
I use a real light duty scratch remover...tried goo gone in the past and it works most of the time. That said I did have it dull some paint in the past though

I accidentally backed out of my garage with the hatch open and heard a sickening crunch. I pulled back forward and looked at my hatch and the badge had been (almost) perfectly trimmed off using the somewhat sharp aluminum edge of the door. It didn't scratch the paint, either. I just took off the couple of small remnants and have been badge-free ever since.
It really does look better w/o it, IMO.
