Talking hard time finding used cayenne s 06

hello everyone!
i just wanted to say you guys are the greatest out of all cayenne forums!

my question is, why am i having a hard time finding a 06 cayenne s for a reasonable price? is it really too much to ask for a black or blue, low mileage (around 30 to 40 thou miles) with or without cpo but definitely with nav for under 30k? i looked around autotrader and cars.com and they are expensive comparing it to the prices you guys have been getting!

thanks

Hello,

I've just finished shopping recently and can offer my experience.

I think the galves trade in figure is $28k-$30k, so it is unlikely that you'll find a nice car for under $30k. Most are in the low-mid $30s range for non-CPO and CPO cars in the mid-high $30s.

I think someone else here before mentioned looking at Carmax to benchmark pricing. FYI, I did find a carmax 2006 S with CPO until 2013 for $36k, but that was a couple of week ago. I ended up passing for a CTT.

Hope that helps.

Wait 12 months or spend a little more. However, if $30k is all you can afford then I'd look at a different vehicle since most 06's are rolling out of base warranty now. If you would even consider owning a P!g nekkid you should have at least $2-3k set aside right away for repairs/maintenance.

Not an 06 but got an 05 CS and paid ~19k in early January. Had to drop ~2k in the first few weeks after I had a good going over. My experience is don't trust anyone on any repairs or work without hard evidence of said work being done. And as someone posted above, budget in ~3k for the common issues on this car, tranny, coolant pipes, cardan shaft, battery, etc.

I just purchased an 06 S Tit. w/46k on it for $31k. It was Pure Red w/the black/tan combo. Nav, window shades, rear seat heaters, and best of all, PASM. Still has a couple of months left on the warranty, but purchased an aftermarket for $3k. Good luck with the hunt...

I am also in the market for a 2006 "S". From what I can see, there are a ton of Titanium Edition vehicles available. I prefer the 2008's but cannot see spending the required premium as this will be my winter vehicle.

I know the titanium editions have more standard features. Are there any options on the Titanium edition that are the most desirable?

-Power Lift Gate?
- Air suspension?
- Pano Roof?

I am seeing lots of Titaniums for sale, CPO in the $38-$42 range. Thinking that prices will drop further when the 2011 hits the market. Maybe get a nice CPO, low miles this fall for low $30's?

Thoughts?

CPO is not a requirement for me, if I am buying a well documented vehicle from another member of this forum.
