CPO'd ???
I recently picked up an '06 S in stunning condition. Unfortunately no history to it. I know coolant pipes are first on the list, coils are 2nd
On monday its going in to the dealer for its 60K maintenance and Ill have them check to see if any recall work has been done. I doubt they will touch the coils or coolant pipes though since it wasnt officially a recall, right?
Anyway, it possible to get it CPO'd? I called one dealer a while ago and they said no but Im sensing you guys know more than most dealers...!
thanks!

I don't think you can CPO a car unless it is currently for sale by a P dealer plus there's mileage restrictions.
I'm pretty sure you won't find a dealer to do that for you now - they don't want to be on PCNA's naughty list...they probably get dinged for every car they CPO as PCNA sees the money flushing down the toilet...

The strict answer is no, you cannot after the fact add a CPO.
The only way you can get one is to buy a vehicle from a dealer with one or from a private seller who has CPO left on the vehicle.
Now, how you would go about selling them your car, buying it back with the CPO premium (and remember in order to sell the car as CPO they may well need to put money into the car...brakes....tires....etc all need to be at minimum levels to qualify as CPO), plus paying sales tax, and somehow come out on top i don't know.
If it is all above board and achieved that way I guess it is "legal" as far as PCNA is concerned.
At this point it's probably cheaper to keep the money in your pocket and assume you will use it over the next 3 years on repairs.
