Default Scoping out used cars with Durametric Cable before purchase, What are common errors?

So I am going down to VA to check out a used car, and went and purchased the Durametric cable.

So when I scan the car, what are common errors that are not to serious, and are there any I should freak out about?

Basically, silly thinks, like wiper ran too long, or a intermittent radio connectivity type errors I know are common on german cars. Making these errors up so don't quote me on them! But I think you know what I mean.

Thanks!

Will these types of errors show up with the Durametric cable? I thought this was more for PIWIS. Perhaps one of our "insiders" will be able to comment.

That I am not sure, I thought it showed all error codes from all modules? Or just engine codes? I have a vag-com I have been using for about 7 years, I know it does more, so maybe I just assumed too much from the cable?

I'm curious to know what it can read as I'd like to invest in the tool in the near future. I'd like to know the difference between marketing and reality.

I had the VAG-COM on my wife's former Audi S4 and it was great. Please let us know what you find.

Durametric is a useful tool once you own the car, but it's not as versatile as the VAG-COM and it isn't going to tell you everything you might want to know for buying a previously owned car. If the car you are looking at doesn't have a warranty that you can use in CT you should consider having a PPI done before you close the deal.
