The adapter to the 4-5 prong standard trailer wiring tail is available at JC Whitney for $11 + sipping. Item number 333039 "RV Socket - OEM Ford Style".
Now when you hook it up it will trip a fault on your system and indicate that there is a wiring issue. It works fine on my '04 towing a light trailer and race car with surge-assist brakes on the trailer. I simply drive it with the fault light on "!".
