Talking SOLVED!--Water in the Sub Woofer/Spare compartment..

Any known causes? My '04 w/37k miles on it has a badly rusted door seam where the skin lapps the door frame (passenger side back seat). Porsche is replacing the door(!) under their corrosion warranty largely due to an astute dealer and a search on this forum.

When I took it in I had them check the fuel pump for a "buzzing noise" above the gas tank. Again, searched this place and found a likely culprit in a clogged or failing fuel pump.

My Porsche Tech got back to me with the real issue.....water in the sub woofer compartment; a standing inch or more. He's tracking down where it comes form for me now but he's never seen this issue.

Thanks in advance,
...and yes moderator, I tried several searched first

Will do....I'm wondering if a drain plug in the bottom of the well is missing or if there is some other leak. One search mentioned a leak in the C pillar area so I'll look there as well.

Does your Cayenne have the rear air? Could it be due to this system being clogged as well? Just a thought.

Did I say I liked my dealer? Parktowne Imports in St. Louis not only supports the local PCA events but their service department know how to get it done.

Water is coming in through a failed seal on the rear spoiler and running down into the spare tire/sub-woofer compartment. CPO warranty covers the seal and a new Sub and installation. So while they are replacing the door, they are replacing the seal and the sub. I get my pig back after X-mas due to waiting on the door.

Good to have a fig leaf right now.

Had a similar water fill in the subwoofer when the drain tubes on the sunroof leaked around the tube-to-push adapter started leaking. It ran down the headliner and into the wheelwell and the C pillars.
