Just out of curiosity, did the dealer remove the rear spoiler cover and check for:

A. presence of an aquarium ?
B. the antenna wire coiled up ?

Either one can lead to 1" remote range...even with a "new" key fob

good question, I did not even tell teh dealer about the 1" range so I guess I'll try this. Is the cover easy enough to remove on my own?

All I can say is that I hope your dealer is MUCH MUCH better than mine. The service help has been such a disappointment. If you arent
a: an enthusiast
b: wanting to know the in/out of your product line
c: wanting to work with a sophisticated customer (was that nice enough?)

Get out of the service kitchen!

You will only be frustrated and cause much frustration to your customers.

So far, I love my hot chilli!!!!
