Brake pad life?
The brake pad warning went off in my '08 Cayenne this morning as it is just about to turn 30,000 miles. Does this sound normal based on your experience?

I think brake pad life is much like clutch life, depends on how you drive it and where you drive it. I'm no expert but I think 30k on the FRONTS is within the normal range. Don't expect to get 40 - 60k on a vehicle like this, it's not a Tahoe.

I have an '06 Cayenne Turbo S. It's got the big brake kit. I just had the pads changed at 70,000 miles. Didn't hit the warning sensors yet but figured I was living on borrowed time. Rotors still good, too. Impressive.

always watch your brake pads. At every oil change or 20k miles I would have a quick inspection at least on the front. Its much safer to just put on new pads then replace the pads and rotors. Went from paying 1200 a pop to 500 front and back. Very happy pig owner .
