Turned in a 2006 BMW X5 4.4 and replaced with a 2004 S with 40K mi.
Concerned about the issues (told to me by the BMW dealer) I believe I read almost every post on this forum and felt confident about my purchase decision.
Service history was not the best but the faults were resolved during the first two years by the previous owner.
Not going to bore you with comparisons except for one...off the line and passing power is way better then my 4.4 BMW!!!!!!!
The ride will take some getting used to...more bounce than the BMW. Feels like weak or bad shocks. (no leaks)
Almost new 18" tire pressure is 35 front 38 rear, does this sound right?
Is this ride normal or should the shocks be replaced?
I did a search but not sure if these threads describe the same condition.

Any aftermarket suspension bits?
Also check to see what type of tires are installed....N spec homologated or non N spec aftermarket.

Welcome to the pigpen. I think that you'll enjoy your new Cayenne, especially if you enjoyed your BMW. Post some pics of your new vehicle.
Oh, and one more thing... FORE!

PASM or standard suspension?
Any aftermarket suspension bits?
Standard suspension and bone stock according to the origianal owner. The bounce seems to be in the rear. Added some weight in the cargo area...it reduced it a bit.

Check the owner's manual/sticker for recommended cold pressures.
Also check to see what type of tires are installed....N spec homologated or non N spec aftermarket.

Will do but need to detail first. Color is teal/gray.
The advert pics did not show the color very well but in person the S looks just fine.

The P!g should not be hopping nor require its *** weighed down...it's 'big boned' enough as it is.
You have something unusual going on, I would suggest having the rear/alignment checked by a local dealer or indy.
18" wheels will give you a 'softer' ride (simply due to higher sidewall/more compliance) than say a 20", so there is a possibility that the tires have an inflation issue .... what brand/model of tire are currently on the P!g?
Best to get this squared away ASAP, that way you have more time to devote to other features, like cracked coils![popcorn](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/popcorn.gif)
Good luck and Godspeed...

Is something that a forum member calls when a newbie asks a question here in the P!g pen. It usually triggers a reflex similar to when sharks smell blood in the water and begin circling. Just remain calm with your seatbelt secure until your question comes to a full and complete stop.
I can't recall who came up with it.
