I took my CTT in the other day after the check engine light came on. Besides the light, it felt like i lost any power in the car. Gas pedal to the floor off the line at a green light and the car was barely moving.

Cause:
Impulse sender failed. In short the cams didn't know where they were in proximity to the crank shaft. Effect, it was like i was running on 4 cylinders. This is apparently really rare, but I though I'd pass it along.

Parts:
996-606-106-02 SPEED (HALL) SENSOR
948-105-932-05 VALVE-COVER GASKET - assuming because they had to get to the sensor
948-105-933-05 VALVE-COVER GASKET- - assuming because they had to get to the sensor

BTW - This occurred to me twice, the first time I took the car in the code had cleared and it appeared to be driving fine. Second time, i parked the car until the day i brought it in and the code was still there.

car is CPO, so all was covered.
