Default FS: PCM upgrade

I purchased the NAV upgrade for my 04 Cayenne 2 weeks ago and sold the car soon after (to be shipped overseas). The PCM has been out of the box but never used cost me $540 installed. If interested make me an offer.

I had an 09 Cayenne for a courtesy car with the new Nav and love it. Asked my dealer about upgrading and he said good luck. He said the new nav's are registered to the VIN on the car, and communicates with the central computer. This is one person, but that's what he said... anyone know this for a fact?

Having seen both I can say the new one is what the old system should have been. However the upgrade to the old one (7 discs) is far better that the original ( 3 disc) system that came with the vehicle. It has a lot more streets, Restaurants etc..It also include Canada and Puerto Ricco.should you feel the need to sail your Cayenne.

Yeah, the newer nav unit was great compared to ours (i have a 04 CTT). My inquiry was related to the entire unit, not just the disks, that I wanted the entire touch screen, etc. That's when he told me they were tied to the car. He said, someone could likely figure it out, but the way he was talking it sounded like he had first hand experience trying... he went into the faking out of the main comp...
