Road trip
This weekend I drove out to Indianapolis for the MotoGP race. I left my house on Friday and hit a bunch of traffic. Took almost 10hrs to get there.
Spent the weekend partying with friends and shuttling people around (everyone wanted to ride in my GTS ), then headed home on Sunday evening after the races.
Driving late at night was much better and allowed me to make the trip in only 7.5hrs. I tried to keep the speed at only 10 over the limit most of the time, but I snuck up there a few times to dispense with traffic. Loved the gearing of the 6spd for no-downshift passing.
I have a narrow waist, wide back and big shoulders - a 'fit' physique, if you will - but I'm short @ only 5'9". The GTS seats were comfortable right up to about the 500 mile mark, then the bolsters were a bit confining, even on the bottom cushion. I could use a little more lumbar support, too.
Overall comfortable and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Here's the stats from the drive home. Drove at 75-85mph most of the trip.
