Default PCM Question

Can I replace 2 2004 PCM with a 2005-2008 PCM? How about replacing a 2004 unit with a 2009 unit? What kind of problems should I expect? Any help would be appreciated.

You can swap with the 2.1 unit but you need to make sure its Bose option is the same. You can swap with an 09 but it involoves replacing everything on the most loop, like cdc, amp, etc and changing all the connectors to the 09 connectors.

Lewis, the 09 PCM is quite nice. Even if it might be situated in a pig. :-)

I have an 03 c4s with the bose, non-nav, radio. I just recently on eBay bought the PCM 2 headunit only (just the screen unit) to try and get the factory navigation system in the car. I can't find anyone to help me with the other parts that I need to do the retro fit.
I thought it would be pretty "cookie cutter," but I can't seem to get anyone who know what parts i need without taking about the center console.
Can you help with the parts needed and any install advice?

I would really appreicate any light you could shed. I'm lost! Thank you,

Just check the other eight threads you revived on the 996 forum... maybe somebody answered one of those...

It may take you a while to open them all and check.

I sense a hint of sarcasm there. I'm figured there would be success in numbers. But nothing. Apparently I broke the forum commandments. Apologies to you and your family.

I'm just busting your chops... I'm not the keeper of the forum commandments.

I just kept seeing the same thread over and over...

Give it a little time... somebody might have your answer...

(And you don't need to post it again)
