You might want to do a search and see what VW has for the Toureg. Not sure if it will be a direct fit though.

yakima towers in the tracks. very good. i wouldn't consider anything else roof wise. have had the same towers/rack setup on on 06, and now the GTS. yakima does it right.

FWIW, the photo is of the Thule box I'm considering. You gotta admit that it looks a whole lot better than either of the Porsche boxes; and it will look very nice on top of a Meteor Grey Metallic Transsyberia.

Both Thule and Yakima make them. I'll bet that one or both would do the job.

I have a Thule box and the roof crossbars. You need to do a, uhh...,"field modification" to use it because the bars are too big. Just longer bolts, longer bottom plates, and a few drilled holes.

BTW if you move the front bar back, away from one might call a "natural" position, the added noise is a non-issue. My front bar is 12-14" behind the sunroof. Obviously I move it forward if I am carrying something.
