Default Coil Question?

Hey guys our Cayenne runs a little rough when its cold and yesterday i got a very brief hesitation when i stepped on the gas while it was cold. I read the coil post on here so i called porsche to see if i could bring it in. My question is....does this only apply to 8 cylinder porsches or is the 6 cylinder prone to this problem.

Can you guys give me some ammo (advice) to go into the porsche dealer with?? My warranty is out at the end of this month.

If your dealer is good, then your description above will be enough ammo to get the coils done under warranty.

If your mileage is about 50k, then you may want to have the plugs done, presumably at your cost.

The local dealers have this policy of replacing the one bad coil. Then if the problem returns and you return a second time they'll replace the remaining 7. Especially if there is no CEL. HINT to get it fixed the first time, get a CEL to show.

Its not a local policy, its a poraceh corprate policy, the dealer would love to change parts, this is how they get paid. But they will only get paid what poraceh aproves, and porsche only wants to pay for failed parts (can you blame them)
