I was unfortunate to have my Passat totaled but I was able to replace with and 06 Cayenne. I enjoy wrenching on my own car and learning about working on the Porsche. I had a 914 as a kid and am glad to be back with the brand. It is going to be time for some brakes soon, can you direct me to some instructions. Thanks

Welcome to the pig pen.

Brakes on the Cayenne are a relatively easy DIY.

Have fun.

Default Thanks

I have found some posts and it seems really easy. Going to the dealer tomorrow to have a few things taken care of under warranty, I am good with warranty until April 2010. As far as I can tell, the 06's seem to be pretty reliable so I look forward to great experience. Look forward to learning about this car and getting involved. Have a great one!

Hmmm...What's unfortunate about trashing a Passat?

I did buy the Passat new and it was my first purchase from new. It was an 02 with only 42k, I had done a lot of upgrades and really enjoyed the car, in addition, it was paid for. I am enjoying my upgrade. Question on the Bi xenon lamps, do they continue to level as you drive? Mine do seem to level out while I drive and I want to make sure this is the way they are supposed to work. Thanks
