So I am an idiot. I went out and and bought a certified 06 CS from the local dealer. Worked a pretty good deal though. Plus they actually let me trade in my 04 CS (aka beta). It's nice having a warranty. I hope to soon banish the memories of cardan shafts, coils, transmission ecu's, etc from my memory. This might be the first car buy where I save money. Okay that was hopeful - it is still a Pig.

Ironically, I always used to buy VW's and Audi's - never had anything more than a minor problem with four different ones. It's amusing that many on here are concerned that the Cayenne is too much VW. I'd much rather have VW's build quality thank you very much. Not too mention the fact that maintenance costs are probably half as expensive in a Toureg or Q7 than the Cayenne.

Don't be in denial, there is no such thing as a good one. Unless you can prove it has had 1) new coils, 2) new cardan shaft, 3) new coolant pipes, 4) tranny control update, 5) proper alignment, etc. Not to mention you will need to check that the key range actually works, tailgate stays up and even after all of this, you will still have one of the most obnoxious (read lazy and shaky) automatic transmissions ever placed into a production automobile - okay I'm exxagerating a tad.

Electrical gremlins?!?! Never! I can't believe this nonsense! My 04 has never had any issues of the sort. The radio never cuts out, the alarm never goes off when getting out of the vehicle, and my cayenne has certainly never "played dead" but they somehow miraculously start-up! And the headlights, they always work! I have never seen the "!" in my life...
The Cayenne is a masterpiece of engineering prowess. But I regress...

K Car - Perfect comparison
You could always find a nice big cement wall and let the Pig barrel towards it alone on a final journey. But I understand the "can't sell it" comment. I can't get rid of my 04. In fact, I'm not sure I could give it away.

I am sure that Lewis will eventually also get a Cayenne. I figure a nice CTTS to go with his 996TT. Deep down it is hard to get away.

Not even at gunpoint....ever. No how, no way.
Larry's widow still laughs everytime she sees one drive by.
See above.
Actually it's easy, especially when lawyers are there to help.
I did my time.

Can you be more specific?
Not even PCNA Legal is powerful enough to convince PCNA Marketing and PCNA Financial to not take my money if I were lost, wandered into a Porsche showroom and wanted to write a check for a Cayenne.....but let me check with my lawyer, maybe I missed something.

AFAIK, the restraining order says I am allowed SUPERVISED visits to a Porsche dealership, as long as I give them at least 48 hours notice.
AFAIK2, I am permitted to bring my cars in for service, as long as I park them in front of the dealership and back away slowly, with both hands in clear sight....again with 48 hours notice.
AFAIK3, I am no longer permitted to attach my laptop to ANY Porsche vehicle, ever again.
Seems reasonable, all things considered.
