Finally a Cayenne owner
#20
Congrats! I guess you got a Cayenne afterall When I was shopping for mine, I only saw the stock 19" posted above or the 20" techno (which was a very common option too). I did not see one with the chrome rims you have now. I have seen other Cayennes with these rims non-chrome. Anyways, since you do not have PASM, I suggest you make sure your wife is happy with the ride before going bigger rims/lower profile tires. I have the 19" and no PASM and when the roads get choppy, it gets pretty bumpy!

Yeah, the current chrome wheels are 20", they look like the standard Titanium optioned wheels, but at 20". The ride is very bumpy as I am starting to find out, especially if there is a height variation between the highway and a bridge the whole chassis gets very violent but that's more of a suspension issue than anything. It is very interesting this big Cayenne behaves very much like my stock suspension 996...

In that case, you might want to hold on before buying the technos. FYI, smallest you can go is 18" wheels due to the calipers. I believe you mentioned the Cayenne will be a commuter car putting on a lot of miles. Well, you will soon find out Cayennes are not easy on tires. I think 15k~20k is on the higher end already! So putting on some 18" will give you better ride and much easier on the wallet too!
