Perhaps it's not perceived as a 'proper' Porsche.

What? Whoa. Are you saying that '04 people are NOT screwed and that there is am update that makes the PCM usable as an actual nav device?

When did that come out? I was used to carrying the Garmin around "Just in case." I gave up on the CD update a long time ago.

This would be great news!

Well you are still half screwed according to this forum as it's still an 04!!!

I've been reading up on X5s though and apparently they are problematic too. Really takes the joy out of a new car reading about them first!

Mine's an '04 (May of 2004 build) and it has been relatively problem free. Sure, it has had a few minor issues, but not too many for a car that's more than 4 years old. It's not all bad!

Thanks. I had given up hope!

Is Obama responsible for this?

I think it might be part of the digital television conversion. I'm sure that billions of dollars were in the stimulus package for it.

Have agreed a deal on a very nice 05 MY CTT. Should all be sorted by end of next week.

Congrats! I love my 05 CTT. No problems so far. Already racked up 5K miles in just 2 months.

Thanks, was nearly put off the Cayenne, but the right car came up. Fingers crossed the sale doesn't fall through!
