slow learner
Early December I test drove a '09 Cayenne S, decided to keep it and never went back for the actually pre delivery check out.
That being the case every week or two I learn something new.
Today is the first time I noticed the "sport" button. I thought it had something to do with the off road AWD stuff. Read the manual (just the page on the "sport" feature) and this sound very exciting. Can't wait to try it on the way home.
The Bose/touch screen radio is the best sound system I have every had in a car/truck.
5,000 trouble free miles. Driving it to Miami in 2 weeks!

Congrats, Bill! I've had my '06 CS for several years now, and still it sill brings a grin to my face everytime I'm behind the wheel. I don't have the "Sport" button on mine, but a simple gear switch to manual/tiptronic serves the purpose for me.
Enjoy the trip to Miami!

From what I hear, you'll find the sport button to be quite addictive.

I had a Volvo V70R with active suspension and sport mode. Liked it. 3 settings on the suspension.
I also had a '07 Mini S with a sport mode. Nice.
Cayenne sport mode is the most impressive spread between stock/sport. Nice crispy throttle and shift points.
The manual (only read sport mode section) mentions sport also lowers ride height. I suspect that is in the GTS and turbo models only.
The sport suspension is noticeable but not a cup car for sure.
In a perfect world I would like the car to stay in sport when I restart if it was in sport when last driven.
The first 6 weeks I had the Cayenne I raised and lowered the tailgate 5 million times. I had no idea the back window glass lifted. I am seriously considering breezing through the manual.
All in all it the Cayenne is a great all around work horse, sport truck, wagon, road car. Did I mention the sound system is awesome?
