Gregg, the current Mobridge Units will not connect to PCM3 fitted vehicles, the head unit is totally different. I am told that an pre amp output and a Sat reciever are coming but no MOST input at this time.

Mike,
Roger that, thank you for following up. I spoke with Eric at Bumper Plugs yesterday. I requested a Blutooth interface with one / two aux video (no audio) spec request. He has one source with a $1150 'plug and play' option including fore and aft cameras (my spec). He is waiting for another source to do a sanity check. Other alternative is to gut PCM and go with an Alpine / Pioneer solution - not my first choice.
Gregg

PS Alsmhouse / Lower State Rds used to be even sweeter 15 yrs back before development!

2008 Cayenne GTS with factory nav and bose. I'm interested in a ipod and bluetooth option but for not want the units that simply transmit to a clear FM freq. I do like the inteface Porsche offers on the 2009 C2s and would like something similar

I am just looking at the supported vehicles at the MOBRIDGE website.. My Boxster S is 2002, one year short of the cars listed. Does anyone know any alternative?

Currently we do not have enough to justify a group buy, we would need at least 12 and we have only 6 confirmed.

If there are any lurkers out there who have not signed up, please do so not or forever hold youe peace.

2002 Porsche infotainment systems were analog based (good old fashioned copper wires, line level analog signals...the good old days), not plastic optical fiber (MOST) based.

There are a myriad of adapters for these systems, or a simple headunit swap.

Mudman, any chance you could PM me a price for the Mobridge for I-pod only through your connection? Not sure if I want to wait any longer on this as the FM Radio is killing me!!!

I mentioned before that I have interest in the i-pod only unit as long as this group buy will work in my '06 CS tit edition, but how much do you think it will cost to get it installed ? (i'm not going to risk messing up my dash to install this myself).
thanks.

You need to talk to Mobridge direct on that. Not sure this GB will go forward as there is not sufficient interest
