One of my remotes lost the red emergency button on the side, other than that it works perfectly. I see key fobs going for $50 or so on eBay. Does anyone know if I can move the electronics and key from my old fob to a new fob?
My car is out of warranty, so if this isn't possible, I will learn to live with it. BTW, its a 2005 Cayenne V6.
Thanks

To answer the question re: Key Fobs. If you buy one on eBay, your dealer will need to program the fob to interact with the Kessy system in your car. The key is laser cut and can be moved to the new fob. If I recall correctly, the Cayenne will only support TWO fobs programmed to it and no more.

I suspect anything is possible. Have never dissected a key fob to see how the electronics are monted. Wish I could offer more insight here, sorry.
