No worries...

In financial circles, Porsche is fast becoming known as a hedge fund which happens to also make cars.

The latest move came at the end of October-- In a very, very interesting (and brilliant) transaction, they recently earned a 6+ billion euro profit on the backs of some of the world's best known hedge funds (resulting in several of the funds shutting down).

I was asking our sales guy about the economy's impact and he said things were slower, but that cars at the $100K line and over were moving. Caymans and Boxsters were hard to move, and he said they' had a $499/mo. lease deal on Boxsters/Caymans that they can't give away.

I went to the New England Int'l Auto Show today. Porsche didn't even bother to bring a Cayman or a Boxster. Several Cayennes, inclduing a totally loaded TTS which has a sticker north of 140. For the same money I'd rather have a Cayenne S AND some type of Carrera.

AM had a nice exhibit with several historical DB's and a couple older Vantages which were concours and looked interesting next to the new cars.

Ferrari has several nice 430's although one had lots of swirl marks. I'm assuming it was used, but they don't let you through the ropes to get a closer look. Maybe if I showed the guy I was holding 2 Porsche keys and a Benz key. LOL Whatever dude.
