Fixed it for you.

I'm sorry.
It appears as though your Cayenne does not fall into this TSB category.
Thank you for playing our game.
Here is a nice consolation gift.
Good bye.

Thanks. I though you had conditioned everyone that it's a motor = reman motor.

Back in the 'old' days, you actually would get a 'new' motor.....but Dr. W. determined that was not the right way to go......

Actually, now that I think about it. Dr. W's new motor policy does make sense.....you are essentially adopting someone else's engine......very humanitarian.

I forgot to add that my engine was blowing smoke at startup 90% of the time. It's hard to say if the rings were installed upside down, but I definitely had a toasted cylinder. Engine performance is night and day now. It's nice to have all 8 cylinders firing instead of 7. I just hope the re-man engine has metal coolant tubes instead of plastic ones.

Based on the engine S/N, PCNA should be able to answer that question for you rather easily......if it's keeping you up at night.

I'm guessing they changed the engine s/n after they re-manufactured your old one? How is that done? (motor is electrical just to be damn picky on a gloomy Mon.).

Edit: I fully understand a auto co. would easily have the capability to modify/change the original engine s/n, I'm just curious IF they have some designation for remanufactured engines or if they put NEW engine s/n's on these engines. If you bought this vehicle a few years down the road could you determine it had a re-man'd engine it? IMWTK

My Cayenne S "MY05" burned ZERO Oil...

It did eat some coils, rotors, a headlamp, back hatchback struts (a few of those), amplifier, and a few other things - but to be honest - compared to what others have reported - I got a great one and really did enjoy it....

Would I pay that much money for an SUV again? Nope - but it was fun while it was under warranty - the month before I as to go "naked" I sold it for an RS4 and Diesel powered F-250 for towing....

Hey John,

You should test drive a CTT if you have a chance. Make sure to press the sport button.

The truck is only a touch slower than a slightly modded 993TT on multiple straight line runs, can carry 5 people, lots of luggage room, and all weather capability.

For your question, my answer is a definite yes. There is no other SUV that I want to own other than the CTT or CTTS.

The RS4 lasted only a year (almost to the day) as I needed a SUV out here in California so sold it to Car Max and got the Jeep.

I would never complain to the "man" :-)

BTW - I know the CTT is a "beast" but for off-road thrashing just too much money for me... :-)
