Default K&N air filters in an 06 CTT

I cannot find references in the search so I need to ask...is there a problem with new K&N air filters in a CTT...heard that oil screws the mass air sensor, but then I heard not the new filters out of box, but those which are cleaned and re-oiled...So...true or not. If ok to use...what are the real benefits? Thanks much everyone.

Yes, if you do 'over oi' a K&N style filter, you will likely 'foul' the MAF. MAF's don't like to be bathed (although you can try); they are normally replaced once they foul and throw a CEL
It has been discussed dozens of times in other forums.
Yes, you are less likely 'out of the box' to not have this problem.
Yes, it will give you slightly improved airflow and hence hp.
No, on a 5500# truck, it will not make a noticeable improvement.

Thanks Its...so...not worth the trouble...right?!...seems the risk outweighs any benefit ..., why compromise efficacy of original filter set up...I'm new to Porsche but why would porsche design such a performance motor and equip it with an inferior filter system?

Perhaps Porsche is simply following the lead of almost every other car company on the planet to install 'inferior filter systems' on the air intake of every car on the road today.

Clearly you have discovered the smoking gun behind this vast global conspiracy.
Congratulations
