The hypers are 65 watts...And no I haven't returned it. My Land Rover has not broken me yet so- I am not really that interested in aftermarket HID's...my original post was just focusing on the Hyper-65 watt question.

Pigs are a particular generation of Land Cruisers-HJ55's I believe...Iron Pigs.

Dennis, yes they are separate on the Cayenne
So you don't have the full functionality of the OEM bi-xenons, which use the halogen in-board lights in addition to opening the shutter on the xenons for a xenon high beam, but you still do have usable high beams...

Right?

No this is just a replacement for the dip beam, the high beam remains the same although you could switch that one as well but that would be a different mechanical solution.

The bi-xenons still have halogen high beams you know

In a Bi-Xenon unit there are

1 - D1S (35w)
1 - H7 (55w)
1 - H3
1 - W5W
1 - Directional 21w

I knew they still had a halogen high beam light, but they also have a shutter that opens for the xenon bulb, eliminating the "cut-off" across the top of the beam that keeps the xenons from blinding oncoming traffic when they are in the low beam setting (in addition to the self-level function). So on an OEM bi-xenon equipped vehicle, the high beams consist of the aforementioned halogen light, in addition to the expansion of the xenon beam. Or am I wrong about that? That's the way my previous cars with bi-xenons operated, and I certainly think the Cayenne does too.

I could use some meds about now... I'm sitting in a hotel lobby waiting to check in because my room isn't ready. I hate that.

Which xenon kit did you use - 4300K? How do you like the performance of it?
