Unhappy steering wheel buttons

I was just wondering the best way to repair or replace the steering wheel buttons. They have a few small chips that look soo horrible at night. Has anyone else replaced them?

I have not replaced mine, but if they look bad at night you can just push the button on the back of the steering wheel and the lights will go off for these buttons.

I had mine replaced under warranty as nearly all had chipped etc. if you're out of warranty it's too expensive as mudman2 has stated to replace includes the airbag... yes, it's true.. don't ask why, Larry will release the squirrels.

+1. Had it done under warranty; it's the whole wheel center as a unit. Out of warrranty, I'd just turn the lights off.

As a temp fix, use a black permanent marker to color in the scratched areas.

I've done this on radio buttons in the past

I've seen the steering wheels for sale on ebay and thought the price was quite reasonable. Don't remember what it was right off but just for S and G check there.

I have seen the unit on ebay for about 300. Will I have to go get the airbag system reset cause I am sure the dashlite will be on again if I swaped them out .I noticed one thing also they ALL have one broken clip on the back so im not tring to have that happen to mine. Im just thinkin the Sharpie way is kinda tacky on a 6 figure truck!
