You definitely have an issue...

I think your Cayenne's Park Assist system might have an issue too...

Costas, don't listen to these overly-sarcastic individuals. You got nuttin to worry bout.

Fortunately I didn't get ripped off when I bought my Cayenne either...

As for your question regarding the Park Assist, mine only shows lights and sounds when there is an actual obstruction. I don't think that the tire ever gets into the "field of view" of the sensors, even with the wheel turned completely to one side. Therefore, I believe your Cayenne has an issue.

Swing baby!

The sensors for Park Distance Control (PDC) are located in your front and rear bumpers and face OUTWARDS (or away) from your vehicle. If you are getting false alerts from PDC, it is most likely that one or more of your sensors is damaged. Since the sensors are body-colored, when they are replaced they must be painted to match your vehicle's color.

It's doubtful that the PDC control unit has gone out. Nine times out of ten, it will be a bad sensor in your front or rear bumper.

Ask me how I know.

A few of us have chased that problem down. I think PIWIS can tell you which one now, early PST2 could not

Yes, you have one or more sensors that are dying a slow death.
