Default Hello, and Help!

Recently bought an 04 Cayenne S RHD and after heavy rain have water coming into the RH (drivers) footwell and it looks to be coming in from the bonnet release. Any top tips for a quick fix, it is booked to go back to the dealers but I would prefer to stop it now if possible.

I haven't heard of that one yet...

You must be getting quite a bit of rain!

Right hand drive would imply that its likely in the UK, which has no shortage of rain. (Japan and South Africa, not so much).

Make sure you check the doors. Wasn't there an issue with water getting into the doors in early version, causing the body to corrode?

From what I hear the summer weather this year is not good, wife is over there right now wanted to go around Thruxton but its too wet.

I would suspect the front door seals, theres not much behind there unless someone was working on the aircon or fans.

The only other one I heard of was a windscreen seal issue.

Back from dealers and having had a look myself this weekend the drain vents on the windscreen sill were blocked. Unblocking these stopped water overflowing into the bonnet (Hood) hinge and entering the car this way. This as confirmed by the dealer who also removed the sill and cleaned the drains out fully.

One to remember for the future.
