Actually, there are some 'diagnostic command Easter Eggs' built into the prototypes.....I'm pretty sure they'll eventually ferret out MOST of them, but as always with these things, a few survive.

I'm surprised that Porsche didn't mention the PCM may actually have an internal hard disk drive.......all that storage space, imagine the possibilities.......you don't suppose it's possible for someone to 'install' some 'inappropriate' pictures to go along with some 'creative' sound prompts do you......nah, you're right, that's impossible.

The new PCM came in my '09 GTS. It's a big improvement over the previous one, with bluetooth, and a SIM slot (as the first poster said). Apparently you can get iPod and USB key integration now too, but I didn't know that option existed when I ordered my GTS so I didn't get it. There is some more DSP features from Bose, but I haven't had the time to really play with them yet. The XM radio interface is the biggest improvement, because now it's not a pain to see what song you are listening to (before clicking that info button was annoying) and there favorites and channel presents are very intuitive and easy to use when you drive. Touch screen makes its use easier also, and the display is much nicer.

Peace.

When you have a moment, could you please elaborate? I am morbidly curious as to what new DSP features means.

Kinda hard to be "bad" on the Internet.

I gotta play with it some more. One thing is this faux-5.1 setting that apparently makes 2 channel audio into 5.1. I tried it on a CD, but, flipped it off pretty quick. There is also a "linear" mode, which I assume flattens out the response from the stock setting (bass heavy/thick).

Thank you for that information.
