Default 450 (new-to-me) horses in the stable...

Just picked up a very clean 2003 Cayenne turbo (CPO'd), and drove her home. 1444 miles, avg speed 79mph, 15.9mpg.

What an incredibly powerful car this is - just pulls like a beast on the highways. Starting in town can be a little jerky, but perhaps I need more time learning the nuances of the automatic. Overall, it was a joy to drive home over the past couple of days. However, it's not really for me... the 996 is my ride, but the fiance is expecting so more room is needed and the Audi TT has to go. BUT, I get to drive it whenever the family is together, so that might motivate me more to accompany her on grocery runs!

Some requisite pics per protocol, enjoy!

Wow ... looks great for a 2003. How many miles on her?

After the drive, odo reads 37,000mi even.

The mod bug is biting already... in moderation. I don't like the offset appearance so perhaps some spacers are needed.

Hi and welcome ...
BTW, how do you like your Targa? how does it compare to 911 Coupes in your opinion? I am thinking of getting one, two main reasons, larger roof opening and the hatchback access, drove a friend's cabrio but didn't like the soft top's wind-noise when closed.
thanks,
Sam

Sam, I really really like the targa. I didn't want the cab b/c I don't like soft-tops, but I wanted something for fun in the sun, and the targa was the next best thing. Definitely not as rigid as the coupe, and the top can squeak a little on rougher roads depending on the weather. Not quite the same experience as either a cab or a coupe, but in its own little category. The glass roof is excellent, but was better in Cali. Now that I'm in Vegas, it does get a little hot even with the shade drawn. Regardless, if I was to pick up another naturally aspirated 996 or 997, I'd shoot for the same.

Yeah, I know... but I don't think the orange looks as bad on the beige... we'll see. Love your Club Coupe btw
