window tint percentage/brand? please help.
From what I have heard, the back windows, stock on the Cayenne GTS are 35 or 45%. The glass itself is actually factory tinted.
If I wanted to match the front two windows exactly to the back 3 windows, no variation in color, what % / brand of tint should I use?

I just picked up my GTS last week and I had to get the front windows tinted to match the back ones that came tinted from the factory, I think i had to use 20% tint, also keep in mind that depending on the color of the interior it might look like a lighter tint since lighter interiors make the tint not as dark as the darker interiors.

I have a 2006 Turbo S and had the front windows tinted to match. They used a light meter to measure the back windows at 35%. The front windows have a slight tint already, and they added a 50% tint film to put the tint at 38.5%. That was close enough for me--and I wanted the front a tad lighter anyway.

I think the percentages refer to the amount of light transmission that the tint allows through. Hence, 50% refers to half the light getting through, and 35% to only that amount of light (and thus is a darker tint).
Or I could be wrong.

Sam, that is essentially correct. A 50% tint indicates that it would eliminate half of the visible light transmission through the car's window.
