Default DME Fault Codes

This may explain the drop-off in performance:

Fault Number: P0021
Description: A Camshaft Position -Timing Over-
Repair Infomation: Advanced or System Performance B2

Fault Number: P0344
Description: Camshaft Position Sensor "A"
Repair Infomation: Circuit Bank 1 or Single Sensor
Repair Infomation: No signal / Communication

Fault Number: P1657
Description: Overrun recirculating air valve
Repair Infomation: output stage
Repair Infomation: No signal / Communication

Any chance these three are related? A common circuit/fuse perhaps?

Default Yes, they are related...

Turns out they're all wired to the same part of the same wiring harness that was eaten (allegedly) by the same rodent. No - really.

Only if the rodent is a factory installed option. Although I might be able to claim emissions warranty.......

I had a similar problem. My insurance covered it.

(Minus deductible, of course)
