Default 06 CTT Auction Price

Does anyone know what an 06 CTT will go for at auction. Or what the wholesale price may be. Or is this a buyers market and I may be able to set the price. I am thinking $55k may be the right price, but if they can't sell it then thats not the bottom either.

The dealer I go to has one and keeps bugging me to buy it, the price is getting better and they are saying it will go to auction soon if they can't move it.

Thanks,

First question would be what kind of mileage? If in the 40k range, recent auction is the upper $50's. If mileage is closer to 15-20k, then figure mid to high $60's.

The mileage is 16k. Decent options like smooth leather and towing. I think it may have 20's too. But I don't think at this point options makes a difference.

The deal is they will take my 05 CS with 40k miles and $30k cash difference. I am thinking $25k cash would be a deal. The CTT is already priced at $64k down from $69k.

At $25k cash outlay you can be very happy with the trade--their offer of $30k is still reasonable, based on wholesale pricing.

$25K or $30K out of pocket, to get rid of the mosquito fogger Cayenne.....does it really matter what the number is?

Keep in mind though that (Cayenne) Turbo engines DO consume more oil than NA engines....as much as 1qt / 1000km (or 1qt/666 miles) and still considered
normal

It ain't a mosquito fogger any more. A new motor fixed that. Just looking to possibly step up and get a sort-of extended warranty, but $25k is a little high.

Manheim Auction Sale Prices for Week Ending March 5, 2008

2006 Cayenne Turbo

Above Average: $75,163 - Mileage: 5,156
Average: $67,833 - Mileage: 10,311
Below Average: $60,503 - Mileage: 15,467

Total Sold: 6

...your 05CayS 40Kmi residual value currently IS about $29K + $30Kcash = about $59K... which EQUALS above auction YOUR car value...

...by OFFERING $25K, you are offering total about $54K transaction value, which is BELOW current auction market numbers (as listed above...) ...

I suggest, if you want this 06CayTT EVEN +$30K number is GOOD for you, anything slightly below +$30K would be EXCELLENT, but may be low probability...

Do not FORGET, that you'll be saving ENERGY, time, money on a current 05CayS car sale routine...

...your numbers are not up to date anymore...

...for 08 Cayenne, CayenneS, CayenneGTS the NEW oil acceptable consumption PORSCHE AG requirements have been released and PRINTED in 08 car manuals:

1.6qt/1000km or 622mi

...for 08 CayenneTT this number IS even slightly worse, than 1.6qt, as an acceptable...

Yeah I was shocked when my oil warning light went on the other day - never had that happen in any of my German cars before since I change the oil every 5,000 miles - it was more than a quart low.

You get used to it. Just carry a case in the back, it's about the only choice you have as not all auto part shops stock our oil. It's the questions/comments that are frustratingly amusing however, especially on I-95, in the south.

Just drove round trip from NY to Palm Beach and back, and only burned a quart and a bit. I do notice that with highway driving, the burn rate is MUCH lower.

I just put 2800 highway miles on an '06 Turbo S and burned one quart of oil.

I added three quarts in 12,000 miles. One fairly quickly (probably 1400 miles) then about 3000 later and the last probably around 8,000 miles 08 TT. No other issues and have been all over the NW, towing heavy loads and traversing lots of mountain passes. Over Mt Hood pass today to Bend on slick road conditions clear from Seattle (ice, compact snow, slush, mixed and dry). A very capable machine, albeit fairly expensive to run.
I would change the wipers, and I had to install the i pod and bluetooth so it was not perfect as delivered but overall really happy with CTT.

My 04 rarely needs oil. Once every 5k miles at most, lately. I recently looked at an 06TTS at an auction house and they wanted $68k with 17k miles. Car was in A1 condition. Figure they need to make $5k min on it so they probably paid $62-63K for it. A non S with same mileage take 10 off that.

BTW the TTS has an MSRP f $119k
