Yes its doable if your handy, internal body panels have to be removed

Hi,

Mine does the same thing, there is a TSB for lubing the brake release cable which I assume is to fix this issue, I've not have a chance to try it.

Pull out the release all the way and apply grease with a small brush to the sliding service. I will give it a try when it warms up and let you know if it fixed the problem.
