Default Trade the 2006 Turbo S for a 2008 Turbo or GTS

I am considering selling/trade my 2006 Cayenne Turbo S with 3775 miles for a new 08 Turbo or GTS.

Right now it's just a impulse...Any thoughts ?

I drove a GTS at $80K MSRP in VA Beach last week. I would buy that over the Turbo. It is a different SUV and more like a Porsche. 410 HP and fast. And really how fast do you drive your Turbo. I think the Turbo SUV is overkill. And the GTS has a sleek look very nice I think. While it can tow, I am not buying one because I tow my track car. I also had another post today about my totaled 2004 Cayenne S so i am in the market for a replacement sooner than I thought!

I saw the one you are talking about. It's white and it looks good but I would not get hat over my CTT. It has power but my CTT is a beast with the FVD stage 2 kit which makes me miss my garage queen 911TT a smidge less when I'm not in it. GTS is nice but optioned out well it's not far off the CTT price.

BTW - glad that none of your family was hurt in the accident. I am anxiously awaiting the outlawing of cell phone use unless it's hands-free while driving. Virginia and especially Va Beach has some of the worst drivers (you know what I mean) and it's only amplified by allowing them to have further distractions.

Don't do it. I just bought a 2006 CTTS and I am not even missing my Carrera S. This CTTS, with TechArt exhaust, is possibly faster than my CS. I drove the 2008 CTT and would take the CTTS over it in a heartbeat (I did!). The CTTS is still the highest-powered Cayenne made and there is some cache, I think, to its relatively limited production (take it easy Lewis). Keep the CTTS until something better comes along.

I really dig my Turbo S and with 520hp it is a great vehicle to drive. At first the 08' Cayenne was not appealing...meaning i just like the look of 06 specifically the Xenon headlights and grill-design. That said the 08' Turbo & GTS are growing on me.

Hell can't go wrong either way !

Is there a reduction in the towing capability of the GTS over the other Cayennes? I'm just asking because of the suspension differences. I would also suspect the MT vehicles have a lower towing cap??

Update: I checked Porsche's website and the steel spring GTS' towing cap. is just slightly lower at 6,790 lbs. I didn't see any mention of M/T tow specs.

My '06 CTT was not nearly as fun to drive as the GTS I drove the other day. IMO, the GTS also looks and sounds better too. The alcantara seats are great and the whole package just feels sportier. I'm driving the manual tomorrow... that will probably seal the deal. But there are very 08's available (with manual). Will most likely have to order an '09 and wait until August.

You should enjoy the huge depreciation hit on the CTTS a little more before you start on the next one, I know I am!
