I just put on a set of Michelin Latitude Sports for summer tires. So far they are a million times better then P-Zeros. Very quite on the road. I hope they last at least 30k miles.

I will be trying some Michelin Snow tires for the winter. I had the scorpions but I don't think they are any good either.

I bought oem (n1) conti 4x4 contacts on my last CS with 18s. I heard bad stuff about them occassionally but I thought they were fantastic. I only put about 7k on them before getting rid of the car and the tires still looked like new. Very quiet and handled snow well too (look at my pic).

FWIW, I would recommend Continental winter tires.
I've run them on all my daily drivers. Excellent dry road capability with no wear issues, very good in the snow.

Blizzaks are a close second, but they will wear quickly if exposed to high speed dry road (winter highway) conditions.

Thanks that was my next question but i'm tired of talking about winter now. It's not going to get here soon enough.

Any info on the Michelin winter tires. I think they are Alpine something or other. But Conti's were high on the list.

as for michelin, on non p-cars,
we had the x-ice on the subaru and were impressed, so for this winter(still winter in utah) we put the michelin pilot aplin pa3 on the e500 4matic.
michelin has done a great job with this tire, stopping and acceleration are excellent, and cornering was much improved over the blizzaks.
the tires also evacuate the slush better than other winter tires I've used so less aquaplaning on the highway.

I am confused. The dealer quoted me $1300 for Continentals. After reading some posts here, I am really confused how much are people paying for new tires. All 4 of them (haha).

I just installed 4 Toyo Proxes ST II. I was a bit hesitant to put on Toyos, but after reading some of the positive comments, I must say they are far better than the Pirelli Pzero Rossos that we on there. I had my Toyos balanced with the Hunter 9700 road force, so there is no vibration at any speed. I bought them at treadepot.com for about $150/tire. Cannot go wrong even if they last for 20K miles, which they should last at least as much.

On my 2008, they came with the Michelin Latitudes and they are also really good. I see almost no wear at the 10K mark now.

Which continentals and size? Look up the tire on tirerack.com to see if the price they quoted is about right.

porsche spec 4x4 contacts in 18" were less than 200 bucks a tire when i bought some last fall.

I like my Contisport 4X4 ZR Summer Tires - mostly highway driving (on second set of Conti's after my original Diamari wore out @ 20K mi. or so). I'll look into those Latitudes though.

My first Winter tires were the Dunlop Trek M2, but I love my Pirrelli Scorpions S&I much better.

BTW, my Conti's are 20" and Scorpions are 18" tires.

I currently have 20" Yokohama Advan Sports tires, I see the previous owner installed these tires (paid for $1700 installed + tax, how do I know? found a paper work in the glove box), since then it has been approx 12k miles, these tires are 99% shot, ready to be replaced anytime soon.

I'm at 35k miles and almost 2 years on my 20" Toyo Proxes S/T. Ride is harder than when I first bought them, but amazingly, tread is still very good (dealer also thought so too on a recent warranty visit)! I would say I have another 10-15k miles on them - and all those miles are with my Techart lowering module and 4 wheel alignment was done prior to this set.
