Looking for Cayenne 6 Spd Manual
I am in the market for a 6spd manual Cayenne. Missed one in Chicago over the weekend. I know these are rare, and probably not the first choice for most forum participants, but I much prefer a manual, even if it means sacrificing performance. Anyone interested in selling theirs, or know where one is, please let me know. Thanks

I plan on leasing so resale is not that big of an issue. It is too bad more people don't like the MT in the US, though. As for the previous poster, I understand it is a six banger. I believe Porsche's heritage is built around the six banger.
Nice Arena red 993. I had a 98 Cab in Arena, only with tan guts.

I agree with the previous poster that resale will suffer considerably. Carrera 4S with MT=Yes. Cayenne with MT=No.

Coincidentally, we have a Cayenne loaner ('08, not S) and my wife is loving it.
I hesitated before telling her it's not a V8. In comparison to our normal Power Kit Turbo, which she finds uncomfortably powerful, she wasn't surprised really, but she was impressed that a V6 could make such a heavy car feel so easy to throw around.

Given how lively the '08 V6 has become, I think it could be great in a 6spd -- a not-so-poor man's GTS.
Still, I expect the GTS will flop in the US market, so picking one up in a 6 spd should be well below MSRP, probably below invoice for a dealer with one sitting there in a few months once the novelty is gone and everyone who wants one has one or isn't buying anyway. I could see myself replacing the Turbo with a GTS, I think it's going to be a really fun drive.

My wife prefers manual and we both see it as a reasonable-man's priced GTS which was over our budget. As it will be serving as a 4th vehicle (4 adult passenger function) it shouldn't get many miles and we plan on keeping it 5+ years, resale wasn't a big issue for us. However, if you find the right buyer in the used market, the limited supply may help you sell.
I wanted to test drive a used manual before placing an order. I found 1 in NJ and 1 in NY. When I called to schedule a test drive, one had a deposit and the other was already down the road.
We drove a leftover '06 V6 Tiptronic back to back with the 3.6 Tiptronic. The new engine makes a noticeable difference.
