Can't we stay on the "Off-Topic" computer banter? It's more fun...

What was the last release of DOS you worked on (and no, I'm not talking MS-DOS or PC-DOS - I'm talking the predecessor to DOS/VSE)? I can still remember the EDS stories in SED School of Ross proclaiming that the largest machine EDS would EVER need was a 360/20!

Only partially correct, PAG does not offer the setup but VAG does, haven't used it yet, but wouldn't need to. have seen numerous instances of a fiber line bent in too tight of a radius to work, I don't have the spec in hand but it does require a fairly wide arc to stop it from bouncing the light back.

While you may be correct there are other problems it very well could be.

Pardon me. I obviously stand corrected, by someone who clearly has much more knowledge of these things than I thought I did.
My sincerest apologies to all those involved.

I'm not sure, since I don't know exactly what you've seen.
BTW, how long have you been working on these cars? I am curious, since you seem to have quite a bit of knowledge regarding MOST, POF and the infotainment system.

Any ideas if nothing has been messed with?

I would suggest sending a PM to 'marky522'
According to his little green light, he's online at the time of this post.

He is clearly the MOST expert in this forum, based on the posts above.
I doubt there is anything I could do to help when it comes to MOST infotainment device design for Porsches......I mean to do that, you'd have to be the person who actually designed it and I doubt anyone like that would hang around here.

Old is remembering 3330's with REMOVEABLE plattens.

Bonus question - What color is your OLDEST IBM Systems Reference Card? I have a Green Card, a White Card AND a Yellow Card. And if I looked hard enough, I can still find my OS-VS1 Control Block books (all 3 volumes!)

Did I say I was OLD?
****, you call THAT old? How about paper tape reader and mag core memory?

Sperry Univac 1219B......just a notch above tubes.....

edit: Should have noticed how old this thread was.
