I just took the plunge into Cayenne ownership late last week when I purchased a 2004 Turbo. Will download pix soon, but here's the skinny on the car: 15K miles; CPO through 4/2010; Crystal Silver with Grey interior; loaded to the hilt; absolutely immaculate interior/exterior; Armorfend; tow package (now I just need to find a replacement for my recently sold Cup Car).

Purchased the car from Scott Lewis at Hennessy Porsche---truly a first class transaction!!! I would highly recommend buying a car from Scott in the future.

Drove the car home (16 hours) and had a blast. I know there are potential issues with the Cayenne, but the CPO (and a chat with my friend LTC) helped ease my concerns. I hope the honeymoon doesn't end....

Mike

Also, stopped in Princeton, NJ on my way home and picked up a set of snows/rims from a fellow Rennlister (Steve D) for a song---thanks Steve!!!

Welcome to Cayenne ownership. As I'm sure you've heard, there are some 2004s that are trouble, and some that seem to be OK. What's the build date on yours?

My 2004 CS was built in May 2005, and it has been *relatively* trouble-free.

Good choice on the Crystal Silver!

I did not realize that Porsche built cars the year after the year for which they are titled.

Mine must be bass-ackwards.

Congrats....I'm looking at an '04 (S) myself. It has 44K, and I'm getting the CPO, if I decide to pull the trigger.
